Michael Keaton's portrayal in "Birdman" is the most acclaimed film. An actor with a variety of talents, he's proficient in comedy in addition to dramatic roles. He has also portrayed some romantic characters as well as appeared in several action thrillers during his professional career. His interest in the acting profession began when he was at the age of teen. He attempted stand-up comedy in his early 20s. While his stand-up comedy did not go well, it helped to open the way for his acting. In order to be successful as a comedian, he got a job working as a cameraman for an local cable television station. The job at the station is where he realized the only thing he really wanted was to perform in front of cameras. When he was offered a part in a television show, he appeared in numerous shows on Mister Rogers Neighborhood. So it was not a surprise he quickly became a popular TV actor. After having a successful film career, his funny performance earned him lots of attention. The actor gained more fame for his role as Batman who was the title character in Tim Burton's Batman. In time he grew up in the field of acting and then began producing and directing films. His performance in Birdman in 2014's Birdman earned him several nominations and awards.
