In 2015, Alicia undergo the interview process to join FilmStruck which is a TCM streaming service for movies. Malone had recorded Robertosborne's intro and the introduction of Ben Mankiewicz to help prepare her for her TCM hosting broadcast audition. Malone auditioned for an Turner Classic Movies hosting position. They tapped her for the position in January the following year. Malone discussed the difficulties that women confront in the movie industry twice in TEDx talks.
