Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig, September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Originally from Worthington Ohio, she dropped out of high school to move into Los Angeles with her mother after her parents divorce. Her first role came to her, as Rachel's Room's lead character in 2001, despite having a difficult time in the financial department. In 2002, she was awarded a Young Artist Award in 2002 for her performance as Murder in Greenwich of 15 year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to take home the award. Grace appeared as Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television series in 2004. The show featured her as the principal protagonist for two seasons and was awarded a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was keen to pursue film after playing opposite Tom Welling's character in The Fog, in 2005. In 2007, she starred on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and also, as Liam Neeson's Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). The actress also appeared in Alice on Malice in Wonderland which is an updated interpretation of the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played Shannon's part as Shannon in Lost for two additional episodes. This included the final episode of the series. She also was a guest in the sixth series of Californication. She plays Faith as a female groupie and also a model for stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She's a Gyllenhaal. daughters of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), she is a bit more senior that Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first roles were in films starring her father as an adolescent. Along with her brother, she also appeared as a character in Donnie Darko (2000). She then appeared on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her lead performances in Secretary (2002, erotic romantic drama), and Sherrybaby (606), both of which earned the actress Golden Globe Award nods. The Dark Knight, which came out in 2008 following numerous highly successful films, including World Trade Center (2006), brought Gyllenhaal greater fame. In the film, her performance as Crazy Heart as a mother who is a single parent received her a nomination in the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. The roles she played in subsequent films include Nanny McPhee, in the Big Bang and Hysteria. Some of her other roles are as an agent for Secret Service in White House Down 2013, as a singer for Secret Service in White House Down 2013. She also appeared singing in Frank 2014, and the role of a teacher in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, in which she plays the main role. Gyllenhaal started her career as a screenwriter and director in 2021, when she directed and wrote the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter. The film received the award for Best Screenplay in The Venice International Film Festival, and was also nominated for the Academy Award.
